Health Researcher, Health Research Group, Public Citizen. Researcher on health service issues for national advocacy organization in Washington, DC.

November 2003 - present

Independent researcher in the history and practice of public health, under the auspices of the Rockefeller Archive Center, Rockefeller University; the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University; and the University of Puerto Rico.

February 1999 - October 2003

Program Director, W.K. Kellogg Foundation Fellowship in Health Policy Research, National Medical Fellowships, Inc. Directed program to create a cadre of health policy researchers from underserved minority groups by supporting their doctoral studies in eight graduate and professional schools. Responsible for marketing the program, recruiting candidates and overseeing their selection, monitoring and facilitating students' progress along the doctoral track, planning and convening an annual symposium, and evaluating and reporting on program processes and outcomes.

Executive Director, Hispanic AIDS Forum, Inc. Responsible for the overall direction, development, and management of a multi-site community-based AIDS service organization providing outreach, prevention education, training and case management services to Latinos in New York City.
